RECOGNIZE JESUS IN YOUR LIFE
(Acts 2:14,22-33, Ps 16,1 Pet. 1:17-21, Lk 24:13-35)
Jesus had continued to reveal himself to his disciples to affirm his resurrection and the need for them to believe it themselves and be witnesses. Some of them had gone back to their normal lives, and am sure these two disciples going to Emmaus were of no exception. But they failed to recognize their master whom they were interacting with when he joined them on their journey. They only made him up in the breaking of bread, that was even a self-revelation.
Our situation is not different from these disciples. We are unable to make up Jesus in our situations, thinking he has abandoned us. This happens because we are spiritually blind. Jesus is always with us in our boat of life. The talking and the complaining is too much as if we are the only people going through difficulties in life. Channel that energy into prayer. Jesus is closer to you than you think. Remember his name ” *Emmanuel” which means God is with us.* Your God is always with you, only ask for his grace to recognize him all the time, especially in moments when we think we are alone.
May his resurrection power touch us today and heal our spiritual blindness so that we can recognize him in all our situations. Amen.
Once again, I wish you a happy easter and a blessed week ahead.
