Theme: The Rejected Stone Shall Surely become the Cornerstone
(2 Pet. 1:2-7,Ps 91, Mk 12:1-12)
Jesus was rejected by the Jewish leaders and the teachers of the law. Meanwhile this was the very person who was sent to die for the sake of their salvation. They publicly and strongly opposed him because he challenged their lives. He became the conscience of the people, which they didn’t like. They preferred to be allowed to continue swimming in their corrupt practices without any criticisms. But you and I know our Lord stood for the truth and will not keep silence. The very person whom they thought was nobody, useless so to speak, became the Messiah.
People might treat you with disrespect, because they don’t see you to be anybody. But when God is on your side one day he will raise you above them, and they will come and bow to you. Our future lies in the hands of God not in the hands of men. People can do everything in their power to suppress us, but the will of God will always prevail. Don’t see yourself to be nothing before men. Cheer up, God will exalt you one day.
The very people who are rejecting you because they think you are nothing today will look for you one day. The very family who are seeing you not to be nothing will one day can’t even take decision without you. I believe there are some of us who can give many testimonies in this regard. Continue to wait and trust in your God. Tell yourself, I am also an important person and don’t belittle yourself.
Don’t allow the negative projections about you to make you give up in life or see yourself as nothing among people. In the sight of God, you are so precious. You are an apple of the Lord ‘s eyes. God hasn’t given up on you, therefore don’t give up on yourself.
May the Holy Spirit grant us the strength to always be hopeful in life. Amen.

Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026.
Theme: Believe in life After Death.
(2 Timo1: 1-3, 6-12,Ps 123, Mk 12:18-27)
Some of us are just like the Sadducees, who do not believe in the resurrection of the dead. Our thinking is that life ends with our death. In other words, everything ends on this earth. People with such mentality lives their lives anyhow, as if there is no judgement any where.
But for us believers, we know that there is another world beyond this physical world. Therefore, we live our lives as people who look forward to that world with our maker. Life in that world is something different from what we have here on earth. Over there , there is nothing like this is my husband, my wife , my family members or whatsoever. We are all going to see ourselves as one big family, without any distinctions whatsoever.
We should therefore not allow people to deceive us so that we live a lose life in this world. It is after our death before we will now realized it, and that will be too late to make amends. By then your fate has already been determined.
If you have anything to do about your life, then it is now. Tomorrow or the next seconds is not for you. You might not have the opportunity to make things right before God. Like I know is always too late. And they say it is the philosophy of the fools.
Heaven and hell are real, don’t be deceived. If there is no hope of the resurrection of the dead then we are the most hopeless people ever, according St. Paul. Because that’s why you and I are struggling to achieve in our lives everyday. That’s the foundation of our faith. The hope of being with God one day when our lives expire on this earth.
May the Holy Spirit grant us the strength to always live lives as people of the resurrection . Amen. Have a blessed Day.

Theme: Love Genuinely
(2 Timo 2:8-15,Ps 25,Mk 12:28-34)
Genuine love must be the foundation of all our activities. The commandment of love which has to do with love of God and neighbor, must be the motivation of all our actions on this earth. Jesus is inviting us today to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of others by loving them. This is what he did on the cross. He showed an unconditional love to humanity, by even dying a shameful death on the cross.
Unfortunately, our world is full of conditional love. We do things for people because of what we will gain. And the worst of all is sexual love which has taken over our entire society. The agape love which Jesus is inviting us to imitate is missing in us. Don’t express love to someone because of your personal gains but because that person also deserves to be loved.
Let’s become the embodiment of the true love of God in this world. We must live a life which will promote the commandment of love in this world. I want you to check the kind of love which motivate your activities. Agape love knows no bounds, is not tribalistic, is not discriminatory and so on . We can’t claim to love God whom we can’t see whiles we don’t care about our neighbors who can feel and touch. It is a contradiction. If you love God then it means you love your neighbor, and if you love your neighbor then it means you love God. The two go together.
May God help us to develop genuine love for our brothers and sisters. Amen .

Memorial of St Boniface
Theme: Don’t be afraid of Your Persecutors
( 2 Timothy 3:10-17,Ps 119, Mk 12:35-37)
Jesus didn’t find it easy in the hands of the very people he was serving. These people plotted to kill him and they succeeded killing him, simply because he stood for the truth. St. Paul and the early Christians faced similar situations. They suffered in the hands of the Jewish leaders on account of their faith.
In the first reading, St. Paul recounts to Timothy how he suffered and was persecuted on account of his faith. But he persevered in those trial moments. He indicates that so far as we live authentic Christian lives, we should expect persecutions from unjust people.
When we stand to do the right thing, we will have a lot of oppositions. From our families, church, work places and so forth. But we should never give up, because of the treatment we receive from them. Beloved, in life you will definitely have people who will always plot against you. Don’t expect everyone to love you, some people will naturally hate you. Sometimes for no genuine reasons.
Our way of life challenges these people, hence the only way for them to continue their evils is to destroy you. Some will project negatives about you to make you unpopular. Humans in general do not like people who stand to do the right thing always, especially in our world of today. In such moments, stand firm and look up to God for your protection and deliverance.
Your God will never abandon you in their hands. They may seem to be on the winning side but God will come to your aid at the right moment. Continue to be the conscience to them, especially in this corrupt world of our time. When everybody seems to be enjoying the fruits of corruption.
Don’t follow the crowd to also do the wrong thing. Even if everybody is corrupt at your work place, you should be the only person who stands tall among them. One day they will appreciate you. We are called to be credible witnesses and not counter witnesses. The double standard way of life can’t promote the kingdom of God. If we also do what they are doing, how can we create the difference in our societies? Don’t be afraid to be insulted, disgraced, unfavored, hated, because of doing the right thing. That makes us true followers of Christ.
May God grant us the grace to stand persecutions and be the conscience of the people. Amen.

Saturday , 6th June, 2026.
Theme: Present your Widow’s Mite to the Lord
(2 Timothy 4:1-8, Ps 71, Mk 12:38-44)
The poor widow gave all she had to the Lord, whiles the rich gave out of their abundance. In other words, she gave from her heart what she had. Jesus today is teaching us to examine the motivations behind our giving. The rich in the synagogue were giving to show of their riches, but not to support the work of God. They want the other people to know that they are rich. Their motivation was one of gaining popularity.
In giving offering to the Lord or when we need to give to support the work of God, it must come from our hearts. When it comes from our hearts then God’s blessings can follow such a generous action. Abel took the best from what he had and offered to God. Precisely why his sacrifice was acceptable and Cain’s own was rejected. Some of us give to support the work of God or help others because sometimes we want to show off. We want people to know that we have money.
During our harvests and fundraising, we give to even sometimes compete with others. It is not how much you give in church but what motivates that giving. God is not interested in your monies and riches. It is better to give 10 cedis from your heart than to give 1000 cedis just to show off. The one who gave the 10 cedis will gain more blessings than the other person. But I am not by this encouraging giving small denominations. We can give millions of cedis if only it is coming from generous heart. God also deserves big monies and not giving such monies at funerals, weddings and others. Remember what you have is from God so you must use it to promote his kingdom. Some of us are found of sending small denominations to such but we can expend huge sum of monies on other things, sometimes which are unnecessary. Stop sending one cedis and the two cedis to church because it doesn’t fit you. You can do better than that and God will also bless you for that.
Our acts of generosity shouldn’t be motivated by becoming famous or popular, but from a heart full of care and love. Don’t help people because you want to be praised by society. Learn to do good in silence and your God who sees in secrets will also bless you. If you do good and society decides to use you as an example to encourage others that is a different thing. But don’t go round yourself broadcasting it, it is not Christian. Some of us would be broadcasting to others those we have helped and others we are helping. Please stop such attitudes because there is no blessings in that.
May Jesus help us always to be generous from our hearts but not for popularity sake. Amen .
