*Theme: With Jesus there is Hope
( Jeremiah 13:1-11, Ps (Deut 32), Mat 13:31-35)
Jesus uses the Parable of the Yeast and that of the Mustard Seed to teach that his presence brings differences in our lives. The mustard seed is the smallest seed but grows and becomes a very big tree, which becomes very useful to both man and animals. In the beginning, it seems not to have any good future, but later it proves it doubters wrong. It present a hopeless beginning, but later becomes a very useful tree.
Beloved, It doesn’t matter where you are coming from or your humble beginning. You may be a carpenter’s child or from a poor background just like Jesus. But ones the favour of God locates you, your story will definitely change. People will be very surprised just like the case of Jesus. Therefore, don’t belittle yourself or anyone because we don’t know what tomorrow holds for all of us. Just remain faithful to God. Great people mostly have humble beginnings.
It is only God who can change you from nobody to somebody. People can write you off, thinking that you don’t have any future. But when divine favor locates you, your story will change. Don’t allow inferiority complex to control your life. As if to say that you can’t become anybody in life because of where you are coming from. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from okay. God is able to make the impossibilities to become possible. To put hope into hopeless situations. To put life into dead situations. You only need the *Jesus’ factor.

Some of us belittle ourselves too much. As if God doesn’t have the power to change your story. Jesus will let your star shine for nations to come and bow to you. God will raise you to be among kings and queens. Who was David to become King of Israel? But when the favor of God located him, the impossibilities became possible in his life. Look up to God, the author and finisher of our faith. It is only God who can turn things around in your life, but not human beings. Human beings will discourage you, look down upon you, insult you, disregard you.
Don’t give up on yourself. Once there is life there is hope. Life is a sign of hope. Bring Jesus into the situation and things will turn around. I give you Jesus today. Be a beacon of hope in your family, church, work place and everywhere.
May God grant us the grace to always trust His promises in our lives and the fact that he can change our story. Amen .

Tuesday,28th July, 2026.
Theme:IF YOU LISTEN TO HIS VOICE TODAY HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART
(Jere 14:17-22, Ps 79, Mat 13:36-43)
Beloved in Christ, the word of God calls us to repent from our sins and believe God’s message. The Israelites repented and accepted the message of God through Jeremiah. They acknowledged their sinfulness and the iniquities of their fathers. They were ready to come back to their maker once more. They admitted their nothingness and human frailty before God and asked for forgiveness from God.
Our sins have its consequences even on earth here. Some of us have hardened our heart to the extent that, we don’t seem to hear any message of caution. This posture was not different from that of the Pharisees, who refused to accept the message of salvation brought by Jesus.
Brethren in Christ, life they say is so short, hence the need to make amends and repent now. We have only the now but not the future. Because anything can happen at any point in time. Don’t be like the rich man who was looking for second chance after his death. Like I know they say is always at last. Ask yourself whether the life you are living when you die right now, you can be with God in heaven.
Don’t deceive yourself that there is no hell. Heaven and hell are real. Therefore, repent now and be saved.
May the Holy Spirit help us with his strength to change from our evil ways and be saved. Amen .

Memorial of Sts. Martha,Mary and Lazarus
Wednesday ,29th July, 2026.
Theme: Befriend Jesus Always
( Jere 15:10,16-21, Ps 59, Jn 11: 19-27)
Beloved, today we celebrate one of the families who were so closed to Jesus. They had a personal relationship with Jesus as a family. He used to visit them as a family. One of these is recorded in Lk 10: 38-42. This family supported Jesus a lot in his ministry, especially material support. They lived in Bethany in Judea.
A personal relationship with Jesus makes him the pillar of our lives. This situation always moves him to act in our favor. We are told that when Lazarus was sick, they sent word to him to come over. Jesus left everything he was doing and responded to the invitation.When Jesus got to the scene, he wept(Jn 11:35). There is no place in scripture that Jesus was moved emotionally to the point of crying. There were instances he had pity on people, but didn’t weep unlike the case of Lazarus. This expresses the deep love and compassion he had for this family. And he went ahead to resurrect his friend Lazarus. He always cares for his friends. Jesus will always act in the favour of his friends, people who are always close to him. It pays to be a faithful friend of Jesus.
It is true that some of us say we are Christians, but in reality we do not know Jesus. To be a Christian is more than just going to church. We need that personal encounter with Jesus. That comes with developing a strong prayer life and daily meditation on God’s word. Some of us are so busy with church and other activities to the extent that we forget to pray and read our Bible daily. If we really want to remain strong in our faith and carry out the mission entrusted unto us, then we have to be serious with our prayer life and let the word of God be our food. These are the sources of our strength as people of faith. We can only know Jesus very well through prayer and His word. And so I ask you; Have you prayed today and have you read your bible today? Be committed in doing this everyday and the Lord will use you to bless humanity.
May God help us to know him personally through our prayer life and His word. Amen.

Theme: Jesus will Transform You To Become Somebody
( Jere 26:1-9,Ps 69,Matt 13:54-58)
The poor carpenter’s son has become a great man full of power and performing wonders. The people of Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus couldn’t comprehend this. They know the beginning of this boy, who never even had formal education. And now he says he is the Messiah sent by God with all kinds of power and wisdom. They couldn’t believe their eyes. They truly know the humble beginning of Jesus. But God has made the boy who was nobody to them to become somebody. The rejected stone has become the cornerstone, this is a doing of the Lord, a marvel in our eyes.

Theme: Stand by the Truth
( Jere 26:11-16,24,Ps 69,Matt 14:1-12)
John the Baptist died because he stood by the truth. Herod the tetrach had taken his brother Philip’s wife. John criticized him for this and Herodias, Philip’s wife was rather angry with John for condemning this evil act. She was happy to have left the husband for his own brother, what an abomination?
The people of our age don’t like to be told the truth to their face. They hate people who are truthful in life.When you allow truthfulness to lead you, you challenge them in the society. Something they don’t like to see and hear.
Some of us have allowed lies to control our lives. There is no integrity in us anymore. Don’t allow the spirit of lies to become your daily bread. It is dangerous to grow and mature in this vice. We become a child of the devil, because Jesus said that he(devil) is the father of all liars.
Don’t compromise with the truth at your work place, in the church, at your neighborhood, and in the society in general. People will give you all sorts of names because of your integrity of truthfulness. But never give up and join the masses because of the frustrations that people will put you through. It is better to be hated by people to have your integrity than to compromise and lose your integrity. Some of us still cherish people who are truthful in life. Some of these people who want you to compromise the truth deep within their hearts cherish truthfulness. Mostly you will hear some of them saying ” as for this man or woman, he or she is very truthful, he hate lies”. They will always let people know the kind of person you are.
As Jesus said ” we should say the truth and the truth shall set us free “. Let truthfulness be your hallmark no matter the opposition you will face from people. It is better to have only God on your side because of your truthfulness than having the whole world behind you because of lies and corrupt practices.
May the holy spirit burn every spirit of lies in us and make us instruments of truthfulness all the time. Amen.
